3.0 ISLAMIC ISSUES ON GLOBAL EDUCATION.
3.1 Madrasah Al-Akhlak Al-Islamiah in Bagan Serai Perak  is an ancient institution and has survived for more than seventy years. Once a thriving institution which served as the exciting heart of the Islamic community, it has been neglected, allowed to decay, and is now the object of suspicion on the global stage.
3.2 In its early years, the Madrasah was a mosque based religious school similar to Bible schools attached to churches. It is only in recent years that the paradigm has shifted to secular education sanctioned by government with a heavy emphasis on technical subjects and government based syllabus.
3.3 The syllabus of the Madrasah has been transformed and has been marginalized over the centuries. Where it once exposed the student to a broad spectrum of disciplines, the modern madrasah limits a student to the study of a few subjects.
3.4 The great majority of students who attend the madrasah are usually from the poorer sections of society. They come from families where the culture does not value education. Fathers who cannot afford the cost of a secular education bring their children to the Madrasah so that the child gets at least an elementary education in the religious disciplines.
3.5 Those have completed their diploma and earn the degree, have their horizons on larger and greener pastures in the towns and cities where there is more money and the opportunity to build lucrative trusts is much higher.

4.0 BUILDING UPON ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE
4.1 To those who are seekers of knowledge, knowledge has many merits. Its head is humility, its eye is freedom from envy, its ear is understanding, its tongue is truthfulness.
4.2 Memory is research, its heart is good intention, its intellect is knowledge of things and matters, its bow is tolerance, its wealth are refined manners, its drinking water is gentleness, its guide is Divine guidance, and its companion is the love of the spiritually elect.

5.0 KHATIMAH
5.1 Muslims who are serious about Islamic education face a challenge from the hadiths and teachings cited above, in which specific forms of knowledge can take precedence over others, in which distinctions can be made between seeking knowledge and seeking the life of this world, and in which there is a normative emphasis on creating piety, ethics, humility, and responsibility, all of which must be among the rermarks of a knowledgeable person.
